Following up last year’s premiere of the AJ Dávila produced single "Tú Pensabas", Discos Diaspora is proud to release Lola Pistola’s newest singles “Everyday” and “Routine”. Currently based in Brooklyn, the Puerto Rican musician has been crafting a more raw, acoustic-inspired sound joined by personal verses within multi-layered atmospheric melodies.

“Dancing around flowers / Crying overwhelmed / Laugh is not an option when you fight,” sings Lola Pistola in the song “Everyday”. The up-beat surfy strums and echoed pop-vocals of the track contrast with the themes explored in the lyrics, coincidentally the musicians favorite dilemmas: daily wanderings, boredom, and empathetic behaviors.

“Routine” is a chaotic noisy ballad. With evocative mellow vocals swimming straightforward alongside a series of a continuous thrumming guitar riff that would only be released after the emotive soft-pitched chorus, “How long do I/How long do I wait?”

RBMA Panamérika has described Lola Pistola’s sound as “raw and melodic”. A full-length album is in the works with some tracks mixed by producer Héctor “StoneTape” Hernández (fAi, Carnales). Shows planned for December 2016 are being announced soon.
